I went to my doctors this morning for a review on my meds. Anyhow whilst there he had a quick feel of my belly and said that my uterus is around the size of 16-17 weeks.. Well im 18+2 days. And now panicing... Im not exactly tall myself though. Im 5ft2 and was only 7 stone when i fell pregnant.

I hear ladies all the time with the same issue. I do NOT agree with this measuring cramp! Each lady is so very different and her body changes at different times compared to another lady.
Most times these measuring small means nothing, and when you have your scan your baby will measure exactly as it should.
I really do not agree with this measuring at all, i mean every body responds different at different times!!

I am over 16weeks and dont even have a bump but then your see someone else who has a bump at the same stage of pregnancy as me.

I just dont think you should panic, every body is so very different and grows as your body needs to. Please do not panic hun
xx

They told me i was big then I was to small and had me up for extra scans and the last consultant I seen couldnt figure out why the heck I was called back as she estimate weight at birth would be 7 to 8 lbs which is average is it not? I have seen this happen to so many people! course i will let you know when I have it. But I am big.

they told me i was measuring a week in front. I wouldn't worry hunny xx

Thanks gilrs :hugs::hugs: He didnt even use a measure tape or anything it just felt my tummy that was all

Honestly i would not worry, I never even got my tummy measured at 18 weeks hehe! Everything will be just perfect xxxx

i thought that up until a certain point this type of measurement was useless , i would worry too muich anyway as im sure if there was a genuine problem you would have been told! xxx

i have been measuring big ever since i was 9weeks, im measuring about 8-10 weeks ahead of what i am, but no-one seems worried at the moment so neither am i, but if it stays like this then i will be measuring 45weeks at 35 weeks which i think will be a bit uncomfortable, lol dont worry baby is probably having a lazy week or something. :)

My midwife measured me at 26 weeks when I was 24 but I am petite and everyone I know/ meet can't believe I am nearly six months- don't worry, is not exact science x

I was measured on Friday at my 25 week appointment (I haven't been measured before) and my midwife said that I was measuring slightly over 25 weeks but only by half a week.

According to my 20 week scan however my baby is measuring bang on for my dates.

However I'm carrying all up front so I look like I'm about to pop any day now.

With my son i was told i was measuring small & he was born 9lb 3 x

Thanks for all the replies girls :) This site is a god send hehe :)

after 13 weeks babies grow off on there own charts.. thats why they have to do your dating scan b4 then. my mother is the head of midwifery and supervisory of all midwives. if he was concern that the growth was enough then he would hav gotten a scan done to check. babies do hav some sort of chart that are the same. but they are normally only about a week out if ur over 13 weeks. if ur really concerned then ask ur midwife for a scan. just to put ur mind at rest :) gd luck and wish u all the best x
