I have no idea what's going on with me this cycle and just need to vent a bit. DH and I have been TTC#1 for 17 months now; I've been off the pill for almost 2 years and seeing a specialist for the past 6 months. I have PCOS and have only ovulated once in that 2 years on a high dose of Femara. My specialist moved, and I don't see a new one until Jan. 15. As costly as it was, I'm mourning the ultrasounds that let me see exactly what was happening with my body. I decided to "relax" over the holidays between doctors (hahaha... ahem). Temping has always stressed me out, and OPKs are almost always very positive because of the PCOS, though oddly the time I finally ovulated I used the ClearBlue monitor and never even came close to a positive... so I don't regret not doing those, I just want to know what the heck is going on!
Now I'm on day 30 of this unmedicated cycle, and I could have sworn I ovulated around CD13, because shortly after that I started having my usual crazy dreams and bloating I get on supplements to induce periods. Then I had light spotting days 19-23, and it completely threw me off, and I'm wondering if I misread my symptoms and actually ovulated in the last few days. And I might not have ovulated at all, but I think I did because the symptoms are getting progressively more noticeable. I'm trying to hold off testing until at least Dec. 31, because I'm so tired of seeing BFNs that I want to be 100% sure it's a "real" one when I do take it. Of course, my mind immediately went to "implantation" during the spotting, but I think it was actually just breakthrough because of the antibiotics I was taking for a sinus infection.
Does anyone else here find that not having any monitoring at all just makes them *more* stir crazy?
