The best time to ask DH for anything (apparently) is when you're in labour/just given birth so just wait till then and tell him that baby just doesn't look like a Julian.

I think people can call their babies whatever they like but there is no way I'd try and get DH to agree to a name he didn't like, and wouldn't expect him to do the same the other way round.

Stick to your guns - both parents should agree on both names... If you don't like it, then that is very important (you being happy is more important than the MIL being happy...).

I agree, and MIL's will never be happy, they will always be upset about something
