Hi there,
So yesterday I posted that my hcg level was 396 on Day 14piui. The doctor had said when I had it done that there was just one follicle.
Well his office called today and left a msg that said they wanted me to do an early scan in 2 weeks to see "if its a viable pregnancy and if it's multiples because the number is VERY high".
So, I freaked out. When I called her back, she reiterated again that it was a really high number and that it was routine to go in with numbers like that. I asked her about the viable part, and she said again it's routine but that the # was a good number.
Of course, I went looking all over the internet and have freaked myself out.
My questions are:
1) Is that number really high, and is it possible for twins, or can you have a high number like that and still have a singleton?
2) Does a number that high mean it's not a viable pregnancy? I read about blighted ovums and molar pregnancies and it seems like those #s are really outrageous?
Thanks
