HCG only went up 4000 in 48 hours

Has anyone had this problem before? I was having some brown spotting and some mild cramping also hardly any symptomes. So they decided to do a blood test. I am now 6w3days. First was 12000. 48 hours later it was 16000. Anyone have any experience with this?

Yes, I had a similar thing happen with numbers over 20-30k. After 10k they slow down. Just think about it, if they kept doubling they would be going into the millions, right? My doctor said they're only useful during a certain window. An ultrasound would be more useful at this point.
