How will I be able to tell if LO is head down? Does it feel or look any different when they decide to turn head down???

Nobody knows how to tell if lo is head down? This is my first I was hoping someone knew on here?

Yes, you can often grasp the head with your two finger near your public bone, it should be able to wiggle a bit back and forth, but nothing should move too much. If it jumps around it isn't a head! The head will be round and hard... feet and ankles are irregular and nodular...
Can you feel the long back part of the baby? That can give you a clue as to where the head is exactly.

Mines just gone head down and the movements I now feel are different. Instead of her big head sticking in my rib cage I now have her feet kicking me in the ribs. Although she's back to back at mo so hope she wriggles some more and turns. :)

Thanks for the replies! I don't feel her head down low so I assume she still hasn't turned but i cant figure out how she is positioned. Her head isn't under my ribs. Maybe she is transverse?? I don't know but i hope she goes head down soon. I just have this feeling that she is going to wait until last minute to go head down!

My LO is head down and it seems like although I haven't felt her head in my fingers or anything like that, my kicks are more to the side and upper stomach as opposed to when she'd kicked me in the bladder. I get more soft movements or hiccups around my bladder.

One thing I have noticed though is she must have a big head because having her head down has put so much pressure on my ovaries...they hurt all the time!

I can never tell what position LO is in, unless it's transverse then suddenly my pants are too loose :haha:

But at 36 weeks do you have a weekly appointment with the OB/MW? They usually check the position at every appointment! x

Oh - and my son stayed frank breech until 35 weeks! 6 days before he was born lol!
