Hiya

Just wondering if anyone ever experienced the same? I started back on the pill in november (was given microgynon used to be on ovranette but apparantly just brand name). Since then I had been getting headaches on and off, they could sometimes be sharp but generally tended to be just dull and i havent really needed pain relief. Within past couple of weeks also I have been experiencing like an uneasiness say like I am a little tipsy. Again this tended to go off but can come often.

I went to see the doctor last week and she said as my mum had strole at aged 42 probably best to change to single hormone pill and gave me think cerazette. Now i have 2 weeksleft on microgynon and was gonna start taking new pill after that but past 2 days had headached so have decided to take myself off microgynon. Now 9 years ago i had what were apparantly tension headaches almost everyday for a year and thats when i was taken off microgynon and put on ovranette. Doctor said could be pill and that my body has overload with hormones she also asked if I was getting enough sleep which i think i am.

I was wondering if anyone has experienced this and what it turned out to be (I always convince myself something is seriously wrong. Lol).

Also not sure now when i start taking cerazette, i have collected prescription yet. But also considering being pill free for a month or so and see how i get on?

Any advice and tips welcome

Xx

I got migraines before I got pregnant with my LO and I think it had to do with my bc as i was using Mirena. I know hormone issues can cause headaches but I am not completely sure in your case. Sorry I couldnt be of more help.

Thanks hun. I would hate to have migraines, these deffo arent that intense. I would totally come off the pill but I dont fancy the implant, dont want the coil due to issues with cervix and dont fancy it, dont trust the injection as I know so many that got pregnant on it and due to past issues i got told i may have a constant period. And as for condoms, hubby cant use them plus I dont like them lol. So I think the pill is the only method but if it starts causing headaches not sure what to do! Lol.

xx

I used to get really, really frequent and bad cluster headaches. What helped me the most was chiropractic care. After I started I was virtually headache-free.

Of course you might be different, and it could be hormonal, who knows.

Just keep in mind if you do decide to see a chiropractor that they are NOT all equal. Do your research on their techniques and beliefs!

Thanks hun. I dont ave the cash for something like that unfortunately. Xx

Could be a hormonal thing hun!

I have slight tension headaches a lot of the time and I think it might be because I just had to get a new prescription for my glasses :dohh: I keep forgetting to wear my old ones so I cause problems with my eyes.

However, hormonal problems could take ages to clear from your system so I'm sure it may be just that. Are you sure your body is okay with the pill? Body changes after having a baby and can cause any number of weird things happening!

I think so no other issues that I can think of lol. I used to be on ovrantette and even though that and microgynon have the same ingredients doc said I could try that if I wanted but thought best not to risk it. I havent taken it today so gonna see what happens and just try to 'be careful' not to get pregnant :haha: andsee how my body does off it.

My migraines started when I was pregnant with ds 16 years ago I've had them ever since, they got worse when I was pregnant with Poppy b/c I couldn't take my medication I had them quite severe for a while still after she was born.
