Headcold at 5 dpo can I take anything?

Hey all, so I am currently 5dpo, I have had this weird crampy/stretching sensation on the right side since Thursday. I thought it was ovulation pain at first, but it didn't seem to go away, then it turned into a pulling sensation at about 3dpo. Off and on all day long.
Now I am at 5dpo, but have the worst headcold. It started Sunday, and has gotten progressively worse. My temp was 98.46 this morning....
I am not sure if I can take any kind of cold meds??
