So, I been gaining a lot of weight & it's been really bothering me even though doctor is not worried yet. He did say i could cut down on carbs (so I ate bread like crazy)...My breakfast consisted of bread with jelly and a glass of milk. So instead of stuffing myself with bread every morning, what can I eat??
Anyone that eats healthy?? I'm willing to try different breakfasts that are healthy, but that I could get full off of and that can keep me going for a couple of hours.
What do you eat that's healthy and keeps your full?

I have 2 wheatabix and a banana ;) it keeps me going for a good couple hours :) or grilled sausage and bacon good ;) grilled not fried ;) xxx

I also love weetabix and banana, keeps u full for ages, porridge is also a great breakfast :)

i do quick oats and chia seeds soaked overnight in low fat milk with a tsp of vanilla extract, chopped pecans and sliced strawberries or kiwi - I just pull it out of the fridge in the morning and set it on the counter while I get ready for work to take the chill out of it.

Shreddies followed by fruit usually grapes and strawberries :hugs:

Try old fashioned rolled oats made with milk (not water). The milk makes it creamy and ads nutrients. Have a side of egg whites or one whole egg plus two egg whites. A balance of complex carbs with lean protein keeps you feeling full and gives your body what it needs. Try adding some super fruit to it as well.

My top five fruits: https://healthyfitnessmom.com/videos.html
they have the vitamins you need and act as natural appetite suppressants.

My stomach is grumbling and watering thinking about all the fruit from those videos Allinaday!!! lol

I like porridge with blueberries and strawberries or sometimes boiled eggs and soldiers, yum :)

I like oatmeal, fruit and sometimes a yogurt. Depending on how hungry I am at the moment. On the weekends, sometimes I add a boiled egg and maybe a slice or two of turkey bacon. My husband has been making two scrambled eggs for himself and topping them with red peppers, onions, spinach, tomatoes and the tiniest hair of cheese. He loves it and says it keeps him full for a long time.

But I have to admit, baby LOVES Cheerios! Plain ol' Cheerios, not the sweetened ones O:)

I find that yoghurt and fruit are the best breakfast for me. It doesn't sound very filling but I find that fruit actually keeps me going for a lot longer than toast/cereal etc and also tends to keep my sugar cravings down a bit for the day :) would LOVE to be able to have porridge but I've never been able to stomach it.

Thanks, you've just made me really want boiled egg and soldiers -.- lol!

I actually had them for tea they were lush! lol

Oatmeal with diced apple or banana. Or gluten free cereal with pomegranate or strawberry kefir. These are super quick. Oatmeal is done in the rice cooker so I don't have to pay attention too it.

Well I know what I'm having for lunch tomorrow! ;D lol

On the weekends I have oatmeal with banana and raisins mixed in, and maybe a little cinnamon sprinkled on top. :)

During the weekdays I never have enough time for that, so I have bran flakes with banana and a little bit of flax seed sprinkled on top. With vanilla soy milk.

Then I snack on raisins throughout the day.

I wasn't a big breakfast person pre-baby, so I go for fast and not too heavy. usually a cup of greek yogurt or toast with an egg on top. Either option is a pretty good balance of protein and carbs and keeps me from feeling yucky or hungry until about 10 AM, when I have a snack, usually fruit.

Fresh fruit and 1 cup of chocolate Miniwheats with a stick of low fat Sargento cheese(60 calories/stick).

I eat plain Greek yogurt (go full fat Greek, way lest carbs lots of protein), with fresh berries, almonds and drizzle a small amount of honey on top. Very healthy and Yummy!

Banana on toast! Wholemeal bread with some butter or margarine and half a squished banana on it - it's delicious and keeps you going for hours! :)
