I had my 16 week midwife appointment today so heard oranges heartbeat again today. I heard it for the first time last tuesday. When i hear it, i fall more in love. I have refused to buy a doppler til now because im the sort of person that would panic if i didnt hear the heartbeat. Plus they say babies dont really like dopplers so i wouldnt want to 'intrude' on his/her personal space ... if that makes sense?

How many of you have given in and bought dopplers that said they wouldnt?!! Or any wanting to but not going to? I want to get one but dont want to at the same time!!

I love having my doppler as I check it once a week and every time it gets higher and easier to find and sounds that little bit louder because it's closer to the surface, it gets me so excited!!!

I wanted one but wasn't going to buy one - other people had put me off and told me to not worry about it.
But my friend gave me hers a couple of weeks ago and I now listen in everynight before i go to bed, just for a couple of minutes.
It's not even so much as to listen to the heartbeat but to hear the whoosing noises as he/she has a bit of a jiggle around, I found it soothing to listen to.
I feel that I have a special little moment getting to hear and feel my baby move around inside me, occasionally making me jump!!!!

I want to but not going to. I told me midwife that I wanted to get one and she told me not to. She said that although its not harmful, babies dont like it as you are basically bouncing waves off them and knowing how much I worry I would be the kind that would check it every single day (or more) and would go into a state of panic if I couldnt find it at any point. Very true so Im going to refrain. x

I've got one and I love it! It's saved me from major panic on more than one occasion! And I've only not found hb ONCE since 10 weeks!
I don't use it for long, literally hear a few beats, know she's ok... Then leave her be. :)

I love my sonoline B!
I use it every morning to put me in a good mood!
And every night in bed so I sleep knowing everythings ok
Me & Hubby always have a cuddle and a listen :)
Now he/she has started kicking, I won't need to do it as much.
Great for putting your mind at rest,
and they're not harmful :)

I have one since i was 7 weeks long.
I bought one because I don't get the classic nausea/ms symptoms like other preggo women.

I was able to hear the HB when I was 8w2d.
I've been using it 1-2x a week since then.
