I am really glad I got a doppler it is so amazing to be able to just take a minute and hear the HB. Found baby's HB agin this morning on the doppler. Chugging away and topped out at 161.

Another old wives tale leaning toward team pink! :happydance:

hehe awesome... i used to loooove my doppler... used it ALL the time...
however, all the old wives tales pointed to me havin a girl... nd i most definately have a blue bump!
xx

Yeah Im not holding to it... just fun to compare. 50/50 regardless lol.

Do you mind me asking which brand of fetal doppler you bought? I'm interested in getting one too, I think my DH and daughter would get a real kick out of it. (plus me too!)

mine cost £15 on ebay... brand new! they're not as expensive as u would think xx

I love listening to my baby's hb!

I first found it at 8w6d, and was quiet hard to find.
Now at 11 weeks I won't even have to search for the baby anymore, within 15 secs I hear the hb every time!
it's so awesome and i'm so happy we decided to get a doppler!!:cloud9::cloud9:
And also around 160bpm!

I got the Sonoline B too.. for 55 dollars on amazon.com

Thanks for sharing! When I get a bit further along, I'm definitely buying one! My birthday is on the 28th. Maybe I will ask for it. :)

How often/long do you use your doppler? Did you use it in the first trimester. I used mine the day I got it at 8 weeks, 3 days. I tried three times, probably the longest for 20 minutes to find the heartbeat and finally found it. Now I am worried I caused problems since I used it for so long during the first trimester. Have any of you been reassured by your doctors on the safety of fetal dopplers? Did I use it too long?

My midwife told me it's fine.. just don't panic when you can't find the hb.
I have been using it almost everyday and it's fine.

just don't put the doppler on your tummy for more than 10mins or so at a time.

I want one! I can't wait til I get one. I have been reading all of the reviews on a lot of them. Just haven't decided on one yet.
