I've been getting heartburn rly bad since being Pg. Over the last few days its been really bad (at diff stages thru the day) but nothing even my Peptec (I was on Gaviscon but dr changed to peptec) won't shift it, I've even tried drinking milk!
Lastnight I couldn't sleep and its getting to the point where I feel like I'm going to be sick & can't rly catch my breath.

Has anyone else got any other way they "deal" with it?

Try some peppermint cordial? i do half and half with some milk and it does wonders for me. Helps when i feel sick too.

Gaviscon??
Rennie tablets

Get well soon treacle

Hope you are feeling better. Heartburn is no fun...

ohhhh im going throught the exact same thing at the mo hun x

i used to drink gaviscon by the bottle had 500ml of it once a week
i was told by the MW not to take rennies as they are high in sugar and are really bad for your teeth, not sure if its true or not though

hope it goes away soon for ya hun :hugs::hugs:

Have you tried Gaviscon Advance (think that's what it's called)? It's stronger (thicker yes really) stuff and is still fine for use when PG.

I used that straight from the bottle  and developed a total milk fixation. Breakfast cereal for lunch as well as breakfast and endless glasses of milk the rest of the time. It didn't prevent it, but helped to ease it when I got it.

I was on Gaviscon but the Dr Changed the prescription to Peptec, Its not as thick as Gaviscon.

Maybe the peptec just doesn't agree with me (I'm going to speak to my MW to see why they changed to peptec) and in the meantime go back to Gaviscon.....I actually just thought of something (I've had a lil funny tummy since using the peptec.....the penny has just dropped - its most probably that!)
I'm coming off it and going back to Gaviscon!

Thanks for all the advice Girls!

x
