I remember threads and discussions on this in the past, but I wasn't in the market for one. Now we have moved house and we left our washer-dryer since we now have a garden, but we're going to need something more to dry nappies for two children in winter, plus clothes for all of us, and I am looking for recommendations on heated racks. I've seen a couple on Lakeland's website, one of them gets good reviews but it's currently unavailable.

So. Can anyone recommend one? I want something that can dry wet items if necessary (not just air out slightly damp ones), we have a lot of bamboo nappies, and I'd like to be able to dry them overnight.

TIA :flower:

I have a 3-tier Lakeland one (not sure if that's the one which is unavailable) and it's utterly fab.

I mainly use it to dry nappies, but have also dried clothes and towels and the like on it. My stash is mainly BG organics, which are famed for taking ages to dry. It pretty much dries them overnight, but it depends when I put them on (if you see what I mean!) They are annoying in that you can't unfold the layers, though. Any nappies you can have as one layer dry really fast, probably quicker than overnight, depending on the fabric.

Hope you manage to get one :)

thanks, and I think yes, it's the one that's unavailable. it was definitely available when I looked last week. today it didn't come up in a search but it was in my list of recently viewed items. it's the Dry Soon 3-tier one that costs £80.

I guess I need to contact Lakeland and find out how long it'll take for them to be available. Pretty impressive if it'll dry BG Organics, we only have 1 of these but it takes as long as thick bamboo.

They take ages, don't they? The one thing I'd say is that it can make nappies a bit crispy. If I dry my hemp boosters on there, they are a bit like cardboard until I flex them about a bit.

I hope they do get it back into stock, it's so useful. Also heats up my (incredibly cold) kitchen a treat in winter ;)

oh god yes, hemp air dried is like cardboard. I don't worry too much about it, though as I only use my hemp boosters under a Flip Organic insert (which also gets hard) but there's a lovely soft LL fleece liner over the top. and Adam has never yet complained (it's a pretty good combo for a long day out). maybe crispy nappies will encourage him to want to potty train anyway... (new baby will have plenty of fleece between him and the nappy)

We use the dry soon airere aswell and its one of the best things ive ever bought :D
Like you though we have a garden to hang nappies but still need something for the colder months. We use a duvet cover over it to keep the heat in and it works well to dry quicker and dry hanging clothes better.

i have the lakeland one too [...thanks to a recommendation from Eala i'm pretty sure ] and i can only sing its praises...it also heats my spare bedroom up nice too so no need for the radiator! :D
