Hello everyone-
So a little about me? My name is Brittany, I'm 25 years old and 7 weeks along! I found out I was pregnant on Mothers day, which was such a special gift I think! Besides being pregnant, right now I am also dealing with being newly sober. I went to detox for opiates/heroin in early April. I've been sober for 45 days now
I am obviously dealing with a lot between being newly sober AND pregnant for the first time! But to top it all off, I recently broke up with my boyfriend who is the baby's father. I'm not sure what the future holds for us, but I'm praying the least he wants is to be apart of OUR baby's life. It's been really hard dealing with our breakup, but like my sobriety, I'm taking it one day at a time.
I have a lot of family and friend support regarding my sobriety and being pregnant and I cannot wait to have this baby. I am excited to get my new life going and do the right things because this time around, there is absolutley no room for messing up.
For work I currently waitress, however I am getting my masters in social work and have always worked in the human services field. Right now it makes more sense to serve as the money is better and it's a job that when I leave, I don't have to worry about when I get home!
My hopes with joining this forum is to have even more support, and a place to ask questions (because I have so many freakin' questions!) and to share my experience throughout pregnancy because I am soooo excited!!
