Help! Anovulatory cycle?

Hi

I'm new to the forum, hoping for some advice really, wondered if anyone had been through the same thing. I came off the pill mid june and since then this is whats happened:

Came off pill around june 13th breakthrough bleed as normal (16th)
Spotting on a few occasions in july
Bleeding 4th-8th aug (49 days since breakthrough) at the time i thought it was my period but now i think it may be that anovulatory?
Positive opk 21st aug (but obv was not ovulating cos...)
22nd sept- bleeding started (48 days since last bleed)

Because its so long between 'periods' i dont think they are proper ones.

any ideas? might go and see the doctor next week, its so upsetting though as i thought everything would just go back to normal didnt think it would take this long, cant even ttc really

I don't have experience with BC pills, but I know that doctors say it sometimes takes 6 months for your cycle to get back to normal. For some women it's quick, for others it takes a long time. I did have a round of Depo 3 years ago, and only used it for about six months, but it took about 8 months for my cycle to straighten out. Now... I know that depo is a lot different than the pills you were taking, so this info may or may not help you. I'm just afraid the dr. might blow you off since it's only been 4 months for you. Also, I do know that the longer you were on BC, the longer it takes for your cycles to regulate. Anyway, I hope this helps. Good luck.

you should try temping, it's the only way to confirm ovulation

Thanks Bunnylicious i just bought a bbt thermometer a couple of hours ago. I was having hot flushes though as a side effect but not getting them so much now so hopefully it wont affect results too much.

Hi I'm new here too, also came off bc pills in June. I still haven't had any sign of my period since the normal withdrawal bleed. I saw a nurse last week who said to wait another few months!! Soooo frustrating!! I have been temping for around 6 weeks and no rise in temp so definitely looks like I'm not ovulating. Wish I'd come off the pill a lot earlier now....
