I started spotting three days ago, 10 dpo or 6 days before AF is due. This used to be a norm for me until last year when I had a cryo and silver nitrate treatment done to my cervix. Now that the bleeding has returned, I don't want to do another treatment as it is said to inhibit conception.

I bought a progesterone cream last night. I've used it once @ 10 pm last night and again this morning @ 8:30. The bleeding has stopped!!!! Although this is exactly what I was hoping for, I'm hesitant because this a lot sooner than I expected.

For you ladies who've used progesterone cream, does it normally work this quickly?

Here's my dilemma.... I've read that a pregnancy will have a hard time implanting in a uterus w/ low progesterone. But is it impossible? I had a really bad pain @ 9 and 10dpo that could have been implantation. Is it possible that there was an implantation that managed to save the corpus luteum and cause my progesterone levels to come back up naturally? Or is there a point when progesterone gets too low for a pregnancy to be viable that early?

Just trying to get a handle on this as I have a date with friends this weekend who will be expecting me to drink!!! I really don't know which direction to go. Thanks for your help ladies!!!

I have been using it the last couple days but not for spotting. I cannot personally relate you your experience at all, I only took it "in case" my body wasnt making enough progesterone.. long story. Well not really thats why LOL. I just had a feeling.. But I have heard of ladies using it for spotting..

I dont know the answer to your other questions either. I think your pain/cramps 10dpo could have been AF or it could be pregnancy. It sucks that the symptoms are identical. But I have also heard that progesterone cream helps some women from miscarrying early.

I would just take a test. If its negative have a drink. If you havent missed your period yet and the test shows negative, if you do not feel right about it, dont drink.

Sorry I cant be of more help.
