I'm trying to write this as briefly as i can as i know long threads can get boring..

started contractions last night around 10.. every thirteen minutes, around 5 am they where quite strong very regular (3 minutes) this went on till 9am they never got much longer stronger or frequent.. i began to worry somthing was wrong so went to L+D to my horror I was only 2 centimetres at the most!! I've had 3 babies before this one and the pain was like around 5 centimetres, and i do have a good pain threshold.. anywho midwife gave me a stretch and sweep and sent me on my merry way :(
pains have lessened now in intensity and frequency aaarrrgh.. took a hot bath about an hour ago, wheni was getting into it had a small gush of water (about an eggcups worth) i though mmm wonder if it's waters or pee (sorry) after i got out of the bath around 20 minutes or so i leaked another egg cupps worth.. but it was brown like the colour of milky tea...
still having the odd contraction but nothing significant.. all my other labours lasted around 6 hours from beginning to end.. WTH is going on.. im so lost :(

it isnt meant to be like this.. i've told DF im going nowhere near the hospital now until he practically has to carry me in, i was so embarrassed and felt like a right bloody drama queen.. but they where so painful and every three minutes!!! aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhh!!! :sad1:

I would have to say who cares what the hospital thinks or the people around OR if you look like a drama queen do whats best for you and to ease your worries! after the baby you wont see these people again! LOL

forgot to mention she wrote on my notes that my cervix was anterior and soft???

thanks pennie pie :)

i'd ring hun and mention the gush water and colour. and they won't think that about you plenty of people go in and only couple cm!! hope all goes well x

Think you shouldering due to the color of the waters tbh. Sod what people think of you my love.

Xx

Obviously that should say should ring lol

Bloody baby brain

As above f**k them, u were in pain an when pains are 3 mins apart ur meanmt to go into hosp. X

I'd def ring them about ur waters maybe breaking and the colour. Good luck xx

you should defo tell them about the water and the colour of it incase its meconium.....better to be extra safe

see thats the thing i dunno if it even was the waters or a show cos of the stretch and sweep... f*************cck and typically light brown waters are bad i know.. but a light brown (possibly bloody show is good) and 2 egg cups full isnt really a significant amount specially after a bath is it? :(

I agree with the others about the colour of your waters. That was one thing we were told at our NCT class, if the waters are a different colour you should go in.

waters are more watery and a show is more jelly like.... maybe put on a pad a see if any more comes and just keep an eye on it for a while... xxx

you really should go back in, that colour water, could mean your baby is in distress.. you would never forgive yourself if you waited and there was something wrong... x

Definitely put a pad on, if you are leaking a little bit and its brown (not reddy brown) then defs go back in cos baby could be in distress which is why you r having such a hard time.

It could be absolutely nothing but Id be worried about going back in and being sent home... are the contractions getting any stronger and closer? x

Would def cal the doctor and see because of the color! Could be nothing, but it could be something and you dont want it to be somehting and not have done anything! Good luck! Maybe this will be it this time!

thats exactly what im doing.. thank you.

no jollygood they are actually lesssening.. in intensity and frequency hmmm .. gonna keep an eye on this pad for a wee while see what turns up as some of you have suggested... why cant things be straight forward?? :( .. and ladies thank you all for taking the time to reply i really appreciate it, and im sorry for being so negative and tetchy x

Have you phoned up your hospital about the colour of your water yet? I would just ring them and see what they say coz baby could be in distress.

GL xx

my waters were brown and it was meconium my son became distressed and they had to deliver him quickly sorry to put a downer on it but you should defo ring xxxxx good luck
