Help me with a middle name! Ocean/sea meaning??

DH and I have an extreme love for the ocean/sea and would love to find a middle name that has meaning concerning it! So far all we have come up with is Kailani. It is a beautiful Hawaiian name which means the sea and the sky. I really love it but DH is not sold on it because we are not Hawaiian and he thinks it's tourist-y to name your kid a name like that if you do not have a direct connection to the culture. We did visit Hawaii years go, before we got married, and had a very memorable trip! I hoped that would be enough but he is not convinced.

Anyone know of any pretty girl middle names which have a meaning for the sea/ocean? Her first name will be Alice. Thanks ladies!!

Did you know there is a shade of blue called Alice Blue? I can't think of any ocean names but it made me think of blue/green names. I named my eldest daughter Lillaina which is Hawaiian for Heavenly Blossom. We have no link to the culture, never even visited, Just loved the name and meaning Good luck searching ... we're still at a loss for a first name!!

I looooove Sailor or even Saylor but I don't think DH cares for it at all. I recently discovered Marina too in a google search and like it also! Keep them coming ladies! I am putting them all on the table!

Such pretty choices! Our favorite spot is Charleston and the beach is called Sullivan's Island. Too bad it's not a boy!!!

Hi love, my best friend growing up was named Adriana, after the Adriatic sea (her parents were croatian and they lived on the coast) - I don't think that is the official meaning of the name but just throwing it out there xo

Oops just re read your post and saw Alice is the first name... Adriana might be pushing it haha.

Try googling some of the mediterranean sea names - the Ionian sea is another one you could form a derivative of maybe... Iona? Clutching at straws but you get the idea haha

Marissa means "of the sea" in Latin, and in Hebrew means "wished for child". Not sure if it goes with Alice though?!
