Hi
So we have just found out that we are expecting again - found out a week ago today, and found out yesterday that we are 32 weeks already! - this time round, we are expecting a girl

With our first LO, if he ended up being a girl, we had our hearts set on naming her Eva. He was a boy, so obviously that name went on the back burner
This time, it is a girl of course, and Eva is still the name we want to use.
However...
We had Eva as our girl name back in 2010. Since then two members of my family have given birth to girls (these are the only two babies on my side of the family to have been born since my son). One named Aoife (pronounced Eefa), and one named Ava.
So you can see my worry.
We still really want to use Eva, as we love it so much and have had our heart set on it as our girl's name choice for 5 years now. Family members knew back then that it was our choice if he'd been a girl, and it has come up in conversation a few times since, so it's not like it was a secret.
But will family judge us for still picking that name, considering the similarity?
x
