help need help reading test

Hi I just had a test done fsh I got my test back but don't understand plz help I just need to know if I still can have a baby Test Name In Range Out Of Range Reference Range Lab FSH 5.9 mIU/mL NW Reference Range
PERFORMING SITE:
Follicular Phase 2.5-10.2 Mid-cycle Peak 3.1-17.7 Luteal Phase 1.5- 9.1 Postmenopausal please help me understand asap thank u

Your best bet is to speak with your doctor.

FSH varies throughout your cycle. By itself, the number has less meaning. Your value is in all the normal ranges so it really matters what cycle day you had your blood draw. Was FSH the only test you had done? You also did not mention why you had it tested. Hopefully you have an appointment soon and your doctor can give you an answer.

I personally wouldn't worry too much about this test as alone it is not a great indicator of fertility. You need to look at it in parrallel with an AMH test which is much more acurate and also your FSH can be out if your thyroid test results are not within normal range. So many things to think about.

All that said I have all the above mentioned tests done and was told that I have a very low AMH level which made the specialist worry significantly about my changes to concieve but I am now expecting my second. Miracles happen every day.
