Hi all

Last Thursday at 31 weeks I went to hospital as had bled quite a bit - no pains, baby fine when monitored etc... cervix closed etc...

On the Saturday I called the hospital again to check if the thick red / brown jelly I was losing was part of the same thing, or could be my plug or anything. They made me go in, with a sample of the goo... said it was the end of the bleed, and bits of clotting etc. Checked again internally, said all fine, and that I could expect a bit more of the same.

I've still had this for the last week, less and less but there when I wipe...but just now had a BIG brown blob of jelly when I wiped. Not as dark as last week, but with it getting thicker again, should I be concerned?

Again, no pains, nothing causing me concern except this... What shoudl I do?

Give your Labour ward a phone again, just tell them that your concerned again :hugs: hope everything is ok xxx

Yep - I would keep going back to the hospital while you are getting the bleeding.

Hope you're ok

I think you should go back to hospital again.

It must be coming from somewhere, surely they must need to find out what is causing it.

Good Luck.

id ring them again aswell, good luck x

Thanks ladies, I appreciate you making the effort to post!

I saw the consultant today, and after ANOTHER internal exam *shudder* he said the blood is definitely coming from my cervix but doesn;'SEEM to be damaging it. I had more monitoring today and baby was fine but they have booked me in for a scan on Friday at 33 weeks to check him over a bit more. Doctor said baby woudl now be monitored very closely for rest of pregnancy as although it's 50/50 really, whetehr there is a problem or not, he won't take any chances.

I have to say he was a really sweet old man! He said to go back if bleeding increases or turns red, and if I have any concerns over movement then to go straight away. He said 'putting a patient's mind at rest is a good deed, so don't feel you are wasting our time', which I thought was really kind.

So, yeah. Close monitoring, lots more appointments than I would have had otherwise, but all if probably fine anyway. Thanks for you support ladies xx

Sorry that you have to go through this. Pregnancy is such a worry but with this added to it, it is so much more. I'm glad your getting properly cared for now and are under a close eye :hugs: xx

glad you went and what a lovely old man to say what he said take it easy x

I'm so glad for you, you were right to be persistent.

As you were bleeding with no specific reason it is right they should monitor you more closely as they had no answer.

I hope you now have some peace of mind :hugs:

Glad you went in again and spoke to such a nice consultant!

Hope everything is ok!

What a lovely thing for him to say :) So often Doctors/consultants/mws make us feel so stupid and neurotic :)

Glad you're mind is at ease and nothing is wrong :)

xx
