HELP seeing stars/glitter/dots at 37 weeks?

I'm 37 weeks today and for the past week or so I get occasional spells of blurry vision then see little flickers of glitter or stars?
Is this normal? I've had plenty to eat etc
I seen my midwife on wednesday and totally forgot to mention it (as I always do).
She said my BP was fine though..which I've read can be the cause of this.

Should I be worried?

Doesn't hurt to call and check just in case.

I get spots/flickers occassionally, and have been told only to worry if it is accompanied by a headache or doesn't go away quickly - but every woman is a bit different.

I get the same thing occasionally if I bend over or I strain to do something. Don't think it's a big deal if it's an isolated symptom.

Sometimes it's there for about 5 mins and then will go away for around 1 minute and re-appear.
Did they say what it is or how to prevent it?
I also feel weak and sick sometimes..don't know if it's linked though.

I'm not even doing anything most of the time when it happens, just sitting around :\

I have the same problem, and generally feel like I am about to pass out when it happens tho I never do.

Dr said as long as my bp stays controlled, it's not a big deal.

I get these now and again, even before I was pregnant.
Its a similar symptom to lightheadedness - not much to be worried about

Low blood pressure, my mw asked if I got it as my blood pressure is low xx

give the pregnancy unit a call, they will have you in and take some obs over a period of time. my main worry would be pre eclampsia.

What are the other signs of pre eclampsia though? As I thought protein in urine was one and I had mine checked on wednesday yet have had this problem for around a week.

blood pressure starts to rise, protien appears in urine, swelling and headaches. its worth getting checked just in case you have it coming on, and havent got all symptoms yet. just my opinion x

I also see stars and black floaties. I asked my doctor about it and he said it was normal as long as there is no pain in my right side near my liver. It has to do with your disturbed blood flow becase of the baby. So just take a deep breath. If your hempglobin levels were dangeriously low, your doctor should have told you by now. So mention it at your next appointment and ask what your hemoglobin levels are. They are suppsoed to be 120... mine is 119 and I still see stars. Good-luck!
