Sorry... TMI, but I'm freaking out.
I'm 5w6d and everything has been going fine. Felt a little m/s on and off, mild cramping which has faded a bit recently. Anyway, last night I went to pee and out of habit looked at the tp. Clear. I sighed in relief and then happened to glance down into the bowl. Resting at the bottom were these weird pieces of red debris. They almost looked like fuzz and where about 1/4 of and inch. Then, there was one, tiny dark red piece that looked about like a very small tictac.
I just knew I had lost the baby. I cried all night long.
This morning I called the Dr. and she had me come in for an U/S. There, on the screen was a big, healthy sac with a fetal pole. She said it was a tad too early to see a hb. Then, she pointed out behind it, a smaller sac. There was nothing to see in it and she said it might or might not develop. She said everything looked perfect and on track and if I hadn't told her about the debris she wouldn't have thought anything could be wrong. She said she had no idea what the red stuff was. She told me not to worry and to keep my 6 week appointment for Monday.

So... what could it have been? I take Endometrin suppositories. There was no liquid blood at all. In the water, on the tp, before or after. I keep checking and so far, *fingerscrossed* nothing today.

Any ideas? Anybody else experience this?

I see similar posts on here constantly, not about this exact thing, but about something, spotting, cramping, etc... Wish they would invent the 1 trimester chill out pill, because I need a couple right now.

Hey, I experienced the same thing today.. No blood, but a red string-like thing about 1/4 in with a tiny dot. I'm trying not to worry. I still feel the same way I did before. Seeing that your baby (ok, embryo) is still doing well is reassuring. I'm only about 4 weeks.

Is the second sac a potential twin?

Yes, the second sac is a potential twin... which would be amazing, but I'd be grateful for one healthy baby. It was much smaller and the doctor said it might or might not develop.
In your case, because you're at 4 weeks, it could very easily be implantation bleeding. Also, I've been told time and time again that spotting is really normal, it's heavy bleeding you need to get checked out. In your case, it could be implantation bleeding or your body just getting rid of some old lining or blood.
Are you using the endometrin too? That can irritate the cervix and cause some spotting.

Best of luck to you... :dust:
