Yesterday I noticed a small bump on my sons upper thigh, I didn't think anything of it because it looked like a mosquito bite. This morning when we woke up it had doubled in size and is starting to look puffy in the surrounding area. He had his one year vaccines 2 weeks ago, and I'm not sure if it could be related to that or not

I've attached a photo, sorry for the quality I took it on my iPad. If you ladies have any idea what it might be that'd be great, want to know if I should bring him to the doctors or not.

Didnt want to read and run but I'm not sure I can be of much help! It does look like an insect bite of some description.

I would bring him just in case, safe rather than sorry.

Apparently after the 1 year MMR they can have a mild case of measles or mumps, could possibly be that? Id have him checked anyway hun, can never be too careful! x

I can't see the picture very well, although if it looked like a bite yesterday, it may be an allergic reaction to the bite. I have a terrible allergic reaction to mozzie bites, they go huge and look very angry. I would take LO to the docs to get it checked but in the mean time give an antihistamine (if babies can have antihistamine?! Best check that first as I'm not sure) xxx

Thanks ladies. He didn't get the MMR vaccine yet, 15 months is when his doctor gives it.

It looked a lot better today. I think it might have been a bug bite, OH reacts badly to them as well!
