heya, can anyone help me.
i am planning on going back to college full time next year but i was wondering how it would effect my benefits? i am on income support, council and housing benefit. because it is a full time course will my benefits be taken away? im not working so i can't afford that atm. i am 21 so also unsure if i'd get help with course fees? (thought people in here may have more advice about collegehope you don't mind) and lastly do the job centre help with college costs at all? thank you :) xx

you shouldn't loose your benefits if its a full time course (i didn't) didn't affect housing or council tax benefit either. Depending where you live there are different options in terms of help towards college costs, bursary schemes etc as well as things like care to learn which will help towards costs for childcare :)

I've just finished a full time 2 year course at college and it didn't affect my benefits. I'm not sure about the costs as you're 21 but you could always speak to the college and ask.. I'm sure they'd be more than willing to help x

If its your first Level 3 course I THINK you wouldnt have to pay course costs. Not sure though as i know its all a bit iffy once you're over 19 - you'd have to see about childcare too cos its very pricey (£40 a day here) but i think 80% gets paid for you x
