Hi there

I need some advice please girls....
My little one is 7 1/2 month and at the moment her routine is as follows:

5.30 - 6am Wakes come in with us and sleeps a bit
7 am - 7 oz bottle and 5 spoons of porridge
8.30 am - Nap 1/2 hour
11 am - Nap for between 1/2 hour and hour
12 noon - 1 cube of food and 1 cube of dessert with water to drink or juice she only drinks about 1 oz Id say though, although she has sips of water during the day so prob has another 1 oz there
1 pm - Nap sometimes she has about 1 hour other times she has two short naps between 1 - 4
4 pm - 1 cube of food and a 6 oz bottle
7.30 pm - 7 oz bottle
8pm bedtime

Im due to start to go back to work shortly and are thinking ahead for the clocks changing too - trying to get organised!! HEE HEE.:haha: I have noticed that last two weeks she is waking earlier each day so her breakfast has creeped forward from about 8am to now 7am and I am worried its now too long a gap from breakfast till lunchtime.

Was thinking of just doing bottle at about 6.30 - 7am but cutting it down to say 5 oz and then introducing breakfast with a small bottle of about 3 oz about 9.30ish. Also worried is she eating enough for her age? Shes gaining weight ok and eats her food most the time, she eats meat and veg and has had salmon too so we are on track Id say with having variety - we do a mix of homemade and jars and she is eating lumps well most days:haha:

Anyone out there with a similar routine and suggestions thank you.....

Your routine sounds good although its hard to tell how much your LO is eating (solids) Depends how big the cubes you are using! Can you compare it to a baby jar food?

My Anna is having about 75-90g portion (I read thats the recommended portion size for 7-9month old) Anna has solids every 4 hours - sometimes 2, sometimes 3 meals a day.

Why not increase the amount of breakfast she is having?

I notice she has milk around 7 am and then next milk is at 4pm - why not give a milk feed middle of day and then you can reduce the breakfast bottle and she might happily take more porridge?

Hi Ellie

Thanks for your reply...

The cube size is the AK trays so its probably about the the 75 g as when she has jars she has not quite half a jar.

I did use to do milk at lunch but then she wasnt eating much at all so HV had told me to drop it to encourage her to eat more which has worked as before it was a struggle getting her to eat any meals. She doesnt seem to take any more than what i give her for breakfast which was one of my reasons for thinking of splitting it up away from her bottle maybe she might be hungrier to eat some more.

Oh and thanks for the thread you just put up about EK pouches we sometimes use these, so good to know whats happened.

Thanks
