We were having Jaiden until my cousin had a boy last week and called him Jayden

So, I like Carter, Riley and Jenson. I have another little boy called Jackson and think Jenson might sound a little silly?

Which do you like?

xx

Jenson is lovely :flower:

You can still use Jaiden, your baby is a different baby and there will always be a baby with the same name :flower:

Yeah I know, but I just know members of the family will be like "Ooooo again?!"

love love love Carter. this was on my short list but we chose something else.
Jackson was on our list to lol. great minds...

I bet you are annoyed, I would have been fuming mad!! Did your cousin know you were going to use that name? :flower: Though the names you have now chosen actually sound cuter :D

Ahhh, I SO hate it when that happens! I told my cousin we had Jessica-Marie for a girls name (before we knew what we were having). Obviously we then found out we were having a boy and she found out she was having a girl (she's a couple weeks behind me) and really pissed me off by announcing that her little girl would be called Jessie-Jade. Ugh, it made me SO SO SO angry! But that's no the point haha.

I really love the name Riley! I actually had that as one of my boys names but DH didn't like it.

Well she didn't know if she was having a boy or girl and said she didn't have a name for either and I didn't actually tell anyone but it was on my fb that it was the name we liked. Whether she or her oh saw it or not I don't know

I'm torn between Jenson and Carter I think..................Haven't asked OH what he thinks yet :haha:

Its a right pain isn't it! Thing is what if you have a girl in the future and wanted to call her Jessica?!

Stupid people should think of their own names grrrrrrrrrrrrrr :winkwink:

xx

Haha, if we have a girl in the future she WILL be called Jessica!!! DH and I had decided on that name a looong time before we were even actively trying for kids. We always knew we wanted them from when we first got together and would talk about names. That was one that always stuck with a girl. It was the boys name we could never agree on until recently haha.

I make myself feel better about it by being a bit mean XD I know it's not nice... but to me Jessie-Jade reminds me of the singer Jessi J... (which I think was her main aim -.-) and to me it's quite a "chavvy" "trendy" name that will go throuhg a stage of popularity before it dies out (there have been a spate of Jessie-(J) names around here just lately... Jessie-Jade, Jessie-Jane, Jessie-Jo) At least I can reason by saying "well he name isn't Jessie, it's Jessica" lol... although I did suggest Jessie-Marie to DH when we first found out I was pregnant, but he preferred Jessica and so did I in the end haha.

XxX

Uh... just read my post back and I didn't mean to sound offensive in any way with the "chav" comment... that didn't sound very nice at all :/ Sorry ladies! Didn't mean it to sound like that >.<

Yeah I agree it does sound like a name that will go out of fashion in a few years! I do prefer Jessica and it can always be shortened to Jessie, you can't elongate Jessie to Jessica iykwim?

xx

No, I know what you mean haha. I actually like names you can shorten! We will be shortening our boys name from Harrison to Harri (or at least I will, DH prefers it in full lol). Gives them a choice of what they'd like to be called :)

XxX

I like Harrison, my friend has that name and she calls her little boy H! Lol

Its the same with Jackson, although we call him that atm, when he's older he might prefer Jack, or Jax, its good to have a choice

xxx

I chose Jenson because I love unique names and I have never heard that before

I like Carter :)
Riley is actually really nice too though.
x

I like Riley but loads of people seem to be using it so I voted for Carter :flower: it's lovely and I don't know anyone calling their LO that yet :)

I like Riley. Was on my short list until me n fob broke up and I decided he'll be having my surname. Don't think Riley Rider sounds too good!! I had the same problem with girls names. When I found out I was pregnant I decided I loved the name Jessica Lily, then found out I was having a boy (who's still nameless and short list is pretty much non existent atm!) then my step bro and his fiancé found out she was pregnant, if she has a girl, they're calling her Lily Marie. I know not quite the same, but still annoying!!x
