help with real christmas tree

Ok so i have always wanted a real christmas tree and now the me and OH have our own living room i have decided we are going to have one this year as LO will only be 9 weeks old so next year we wont be able to have one because he will be on the move so this year is perfect to get one.

so i know when you get one u need to put it in water outside for a few days before you put it up but is there anything else you have to do ?

Cut about 2 inches off the bottom when you get home, and keep watered everyday. Not much else really. We are still having one even though LO is just about on the move, it's going to be entertaining!
