Help with shoes - Clarks sizing and kickers

Ethan is a 5g in clarks and I'm going to get him some kicker boots for the winter.
Any experience with sizing - I read somewhere that clarks sizes were a bit different but can't remember if they come up big or small. Should I go up to a 6 or order a 5?

Go to Russell Bromley to get kickers sized and fitted. same price on line I've found.

When I get Niamh's converse I get it in a size bigger. So if Clarks measure her as a 5.5 I'd get a 6.
