OK so I know a lot of us are suffering from this and my god I feel sorry for all of us! But my question is - and you do not have to answer if you don't want to - how big are yours? Mine started off quite small but its quite large now. I would say the size and width of a £1 coin :nope:

I have IBS also and I am finding that because my hemorrhoid hurts I am refusing to make a BM! I tried last night and have bled from the back passage most of today. I am going to the doctors tomorrow but wondering how others are coping...cause I'm not right now!

I only have one and it is about the size of a small marble and seems to be behaving itself these past few days. I scared my OH the other day when I made a passing comment about there being blood when I wiped after the toilet (sorry) and didn't think anything of saying "oh don't worry..i just had a poo!" I wonder how my OH still finds me attractive when I fill him in with these kinds of details. I have been making sure I have a lot of fluid through the day and this seems to have helped so thankfully it doesn't go bad again. Hope your doctor can give you something to help. The joys of pregnancy eh? xxx

I'm not quite as bad as that but mine hurts a lot. Might be tmi but from what I can tell it's about the size of a 5p. I mentioned it to mw and she prescribed anusol (free perscriptions yay!!) and it helps a little, she said hormones can cause it and they might not go until after the birth :(

Mine was probally 2 inchesin length, hurt so bad.But after a month it has gone down.

I have internal ones ...not sure how big they are but mine are a little better when i maintain regular bowel movemnts. Heres how i helped mine:
lots of fruits and veges and fruit juices
letting it all flow out natural no pushing
not sitting there for too long trying
soft toilet paper and easy wiping
vaseline when too sore
never sitting directly straing up so not too much pressure on them.

I hope this helps you!

Thank you ladies :flower:

I never realised they could get so sore! I suffer real bad IBS and have trouble making regular bm's in general (I've been known to have a month between bm's) but I'll def try some of your tips cause this can't be good! It's nice to know I'm not alone but heck they hurt! I've tried anusol for 3 weeks and not got anywhere so maybe he can prescribe something stronger for them or at least give me some tips on making things as comfy as poss! Haha my OH used to pull a face when I mentioned anything like this now he's so understanding thank god! I've cried about 4 times this last week about the state my body is in and yet he's always saying 'love you loads gorgeous' and when I say I'm feeling fat he's like 'never fat...that's my baby your housing. NOT fat!' he's really trying but I'm sure you ladies understand it's hard to accept right now!

Hope yours all clear up soon!

xxx

I have one and have had it since the first trimester. Its really not that big, and it hurts when I have BM and it itches like crazy and has like a burning feeling to it, although mine never bled. I try to eat things that would give me BM and use a stool softner.

My question is will it go away...........

Aw Jennifer I hope so! I'm going to see my gp tomorrow (he has to be sick of me!) and see what he advises cause it is SO painful I walk like John Wayne and every time I move it hurts. Have you been putting anything on it like anusol? The creams can help shrink them then they can go back up in some cases...other cases I think you can get them surgically removed if they are extreme. I hope yours shrinks after birth and disappears hun

I've had one since the first trimester, and at first it itched and hurt for about 2 weeks. But now it honestly doesn't bother me at all, it's just there I think because of all the extra weight of baby pressing down. I guess I'm one of the lucky ones since it doesn't hurt or anything! Hopefully it goes away completely after birth!

How do you know you have them? I had a horrible #2 today - so bad it bled after. Does this mean I have hemorrhoids?

I am going to have my doctor look at mine Friday, whn she checks my cervix, and does the strep b culture. I just soak my butt in warm water. I need to get some cream, nd I too hope they disappear.

I had a small one for the past month or do but after having my baby yesterday it's now huge and soooooo painful!!! That's the only bit that hurts. Didn't help that 3 times the midwife put her finger up there to check I hadn't torn. That pain was worse than labour. Going to docs today and hoping they can give me something stronger

He's given me an ointment that they only prescribe and is apparently a lot more effective than anusol so fingers crossed! I can apply it several times a day so I'm hoping that it starts to shrink pretty quickly! I'm dreading how big it'll get after birth! Hope you get something that works hun!
