to be honest I'm not sure whether I did it correctly??? I'd read so many times that it was supposed to sting but it didn't at all??

Oh well, will keep trying once a day. If it helps a little then it's worth it!!

My midwife said there's no point. It's been proven to make little to no difference and if actually done wrong can weaken the tissues.

I wont be bothering - I'm using the birthpool to *hopefully* prevent severe tearing.

I wont be bothering - I'm using the birthpool to *hopefully* prevent severe tearing.

Ha! I think all midwives have their own opinions. I had ante-natal class this week and there were 2 midwives there and they both said that there was evidence to show that it did actually work. I suppose there is no harm in trying!
