Hello,
I joined yesterday and got a lot of my chest with in the 1st introduction of myself. Im 28 expecting my 1st child, Im now in my 2nd trimester at 15 weeks and still waiting for that boost of energy to get me out of my downers. My partner Marino is born and bred in a small town in southern Italy. We met 4 years ago whilst working together in the entertainment scene in London. From the beginning we had always planned to move back to his home town and open a bar/restaurant with his parents, I thought life was going to be a dream. We have now been here for a year and a half and the bar is still a working progress. I do love a lot of things Italian but life is proving to be not what I expected and not what I dream anymore.
Back in England, Essex I have dedicated my life to horses. I cant wait for the day I can teach my children how to ride. My other interest has been within fitness. I worked as a personal trainer for a few years training some important people.
So far my pregnancy has taken its toll on me, I was down before I fell pregnant and I am finding it hard to see things positive over here in Italy. Still the thought of being a mum scares me but I am amazed by what is happening. Im not looking forward to having my other halfs mum constantly around telling me what to do, this worries me.
From 3 weeks I felt bloated and now Im really showing, Cant believe how big my boobs have got, you can see how the thought of having a boob job after they deflate can cross ya mind. My other half is loving them too, which also gets him in trouble coz then I ask him if he like them before. His face of "O god I just put my foot in it" is a classic lol. In Italy they have more scans so at 7 weeks I had my 1st scan and all the blood tests. We hurd the heart for the 1st time and it was such a serial felling. The scan at 13 weeks was the most incredible. It helped me fill more attached to the baby. Plus I was having fluttering sensations which have stopped now but I can still see my belly has its own pulse.
Ive just had some tests over in England so I can get on their books and they have my history as I wish to have the baby in England. This being because in Italy When in labour you are I a room with 3 other women in labour and so partners are not allowed in with ya, then for delivery you are wheeled into another room and partners might be allowed in. No thanks!! He was there when I conceived so he should be there for the birth.
I hope to make friends on here who i can talk to with the same experiaces as being out here in Italy i have no friends.
Look forward to meeting ya all x
