I've been reading some of the forums for a while now and thought it time I register and introduce myself. I am 27 and DH is 29 and we are TTC number one. I came off BCP (Yasmin) in Oct '09 but have had very irregular cycles since then - roughly 5 months apart. I began seeing a fertility specialist in Sep '10, and since then have had 2 months on Provera which made me have a withdrawal bleed but did not kickstart my cycles. Last month I had a HSG and DH had a SA, and both came back good, so we know that there is no physical reason why we can't have children. However my day 21 Progesterone tests all came back lower than they should be. My consultant has prescribed me Provera and Clomid if AF doesn't appear this cycle, with today being CD28 after getting AF by myself last month. I had a positive OPK (CB digital) on CD23, so I'm currently 4 dpo according to Fertility Friend.

im hayley and im nearly 26, been trying for 10 11 months now and had very irregular peroids too, last month i tried agnus castus and it got my cycle down to 44 days which was great, so im on cycle 2 of these CD 22 so hoping it works again and makes my cycle even shorter, got a gyno appointment on the 28th june to see whats going on.

I've not heard of agnus castus before - do you mind me asking what it is?

Hi I'm 24 and have pcos (hence why I have irregular cycles)

Ive been ttc for 2 years and finally on clomid- this is my first cycle of it- but the scan shows its not really working so next month my dose will be higher...

I had to have provera to kick start my period too.

What mg of clomid are you going to be taking? And what cycle days?x

Hi Scerena,

I have been prescribed 100mg of Clomid - 50mg twice a day - for CDs 2-6. I was due to start taking Provera this Tuesday but since I ovulated last week DH and I have postponed it to see the outcome of this cycle. I'm hopeful for a BFP - I just feel different this cycle, which is silly because I'm only 4 dpo! I'm trying not to get my hopes up.

agnus castus are natural herb pills that helps you regulate your cycles x its had all good reviews and worked for me the 1st month x

I postponed taking my provera too, I hope you get a bfp and don't have to have the clomid journey my fingers are crossed for you.

I took 50mg cd2-6 I will be taking 100mg at some point end of June or beginning of July hopefully...

Thank you Mammag - I hope this is my cycle but after so many let downs I know to not get too excited.

Scerena we might be taking Clomid around the same time. I will be doing a HPT next Tuesday, based on my previous luteal phases being 11 or 12 days. If AF does come I will be starting Clomid around this time. I am a 'phantom symptom spotter' at the moment, and convinced every cramp or twinge must be a pregnancy symptom! X x

Ha I'm the same don't worry about it lol I think we are all guilty of that as we really want a bfp
And yes we could be if af doesn't show by June 24th I have to ring the clinic for a scan and a prescription for provera and clomid, so yes could be around the same time well hopefully you won't need to start it! X
