Hi, I'm new. I'm getting married in May and hoping to start trying after this. Anyone know if you can stop your period, but still be able to conceive (honeymoon, and I don't want a period!)

Welcome! Congratulations on your upcoming marriage! How exciting

I am not sure how you can stop it without using the pill - which you obviously don't want to be on! Maybe count the calendar days and figure out when you should get it and plan your honeymoon around it? (Easier said than done once you go off the pill!) Where do you plan on going!

Hi and welcome I can't think of another way to delay your period but maybe if you finished your last pack in time for a withdrawal bleed to end just before your honeymoon?

You can take norethisterone, which is a synthetic progesterone, to delay your period over your honeymoon, but as it will interfere with your cycle, and thickens your CM, I think it's unlikely you'd get pregnant while using it. I don't think it'd be impossible, though if you're expecting AF during your honeymoon you'll have missed your fertile window anyway. You can get it on prescription, and I *think* you only take it for the few days before your AF is due and through the time you don't want it to appear. Do you know for sure your period will be due during your honeymoon?
