I posted this in 3rd trimester, then thought this would be more suitable for response~

And guess what? My very stubborn little one is breech....
I was kind of upset and almost got worried... My doctor called me and told me my two options. He said i could try to turn the baby around, but i would have to go to a different hospital and be monitored along with baby, to make sure heart rates/blood pressure doesn't change along with the fact that the placenta could detach it's self..... and if any of that happens i would have to do an emergency c-section anyways.

He then told me that he thinks im the right candidate for being this far along to just do a c-section. So i told him that is what we shall do. He referred me to an obstetrician, the surgeon will be calling me today i think so i could go in meet him, and then he'll discuss how this will pan out and probably give me a date for when it'll take place.

Im nervous you know? I was so scared to do a normal birth for fear of pain, but being under meds and stuff freaks me out too. I've never had surgery in my life.
Any ladies going through or have been through this? what should i expect?

Thanks for reading and i hope ur all well xo

I had a caesarean for my first (breech like you) and had a vbac for my second. I had a pretty straightforward caesarean and a complicated vbac, but I still think my outcome was better for the vbac. I have to admit I was nervous about the birth and the caesarean was all very planned, calm and orderly, but I preferred my vbac and would probably do it again. It does hurt, it is hard, but the sense of achievement is amazing and despite tearing quite badly (a risk I chose to take) I am glad to have a tear rather than a caesarean scar as I have a toddler to consider now too. For the first it was okay, but the idea of her trying to climb on me (which is hard to stop) is terrifying. At least my "damage" is hidden and she can't accidentally hurt me.

You can agree to a caesarean if you want to (I did), but stipulate that you will try for a natural birth if the baby changes position. For me, my waters broke and I went in and they checked and she was still breech so we did the caesarean. Either way, there will be some pain involved, but I always found it mentally more challenging beforehand and the reality was that you are so excited by your little one that it pales in comparison.
