Hiccups?? All the time??

Hi ladies

My LO recently seems to have hiccups at least 3 or 4 times every day ... is this normal? Should it be hiccupping as much as this?

I have exactly the same thing with my little one and been experiencing it for about a month now (I'm 39 weeks). He does it about 4 times a day on average. I have mentioned it to two different midwives who both tell me it is normal and nothing to worry about. I always get worried about it though because I panic he is having some sort of seizure. But it is definitely normal, so please don't worry.

Mine is exactly the same, at least 3 times a day.... I thought it was ok as it shows they are practise breathing/swallowing so it must be a good thing hey?

Yeah, same here... Sometimes for up to 30 minutes!
totally freaked me out the first time it happened, i didnt know what was going on!

Yeuppp it seems her favorite thing to do is hiccup!
I looked into it a tad it's perfectly normal, sign of a healthy baby.

Not that no or less hiccups means unhealthy... but well I think you know what I mean :]

Can I ask you ladies what the hiccup feels like? My baby makes my whole bump shake a couple of times a day at least! Is this hiccuping? I was worried it might be a fit at first!

I can feel mine right down coz his head is down, its weird you feel it every 2-4 secs for a few mins , mine normally 15mins, lol!!

Good ladies i feel much better now! I just thought it felt like a lot and sometimes they last for ages ha ha.
I thought maybe it was my 'big baby' drinking too much fluid hee hee

from 26-30 weeks my baby had the hiccups about 5 or 6 times a day. now its just usually 2 or 3 times and it lasts for like 20-30 minutes. its normal

this has really been bugging me cus all my pregnancies b4 this one i noticed hiccups but havent felt this baby hiccup at all yet
