his first haircut

I gave Oscar his first haircut today, it had gotten really long and I loved his curls but people kept calling him 'she' ('she's really cute' type thing)

don't know why but it feels all weird.

anyone else relate?

Yes
i was really sad about brody's first haircut. i suppose it just marks that he is growing up, thats all.
but absolutely i can relate, it just got to the point where brody's was messy more often than not and i thought "no, now is the time" i kept all his hair that was cut off tho
if it makes you feel any better the 2nd cut didnt seem a big deal atall

yeh - he was getting dreadlock type tangles at the back and as much as I thought it was kind of cute, it was hard to brush all the bits of food out! lol!
(he likes to rub his food into his hair)

I know how you feel! I was in Tesco yesterday waiting to pay for my shopping and my LO was winging for his Banana and the checkout Lady asked what was wrong with HER!
Ooops!
My LO has lovely curls to and I really don't want to cut them off
I know once the curls have been cut off the chances of them coming back are slim
My other two boys curls didn't com back when they were babies after their first cuts!
I know its got to be done but I really don't want to take him to have it chopped just yet.
He looks soo cute and I cant imagine my lil man with short hair!

yep we kept every curl. He looks as cute as pie but I still feel glum about it. I think it's worse than when I have had a disastrous haircut myself.

i had to cut my LOs fringe at 8 months! it was in his eyes nearly but left the back, im going to have to do it all soon i really dont want to tho lol x

I still haven't had the courage to get Hannah's cut we've done her bangs a few times when they start to get down into her eyes
