Morning ladies,

I only got my :bfp: last night but my mind is racing with questions!! I'll apologise in advance, I know I'll be torturing you all over the next few weeks!

OH & I have a holiday booked to Lanzarote in October, when I'll be 12/13 weeks pg, am I right in thinking this should be ok, I am safe to fly and everything? Is there anything I should be particularily cautious about?

PS - Can't believe I'm finally posting in first tri!!! :happydance:

firstly congrats!! brilliant news on the bfp!

i've been looking into this as i've got a trip uk - australia to undergo in my 2nd tri. we're safe to travel until 5.5 months it seems. then it's not advisable.

so you should be fine at 13 weeks!

i am going to australia when i will be 16 weeks and the air line said it was fine

the only time it's not the safest to fly is usually starting during 3rd tri. atleast thats what i've heard.

Thanks girls, it will probably be our last holiday for a while so really would have hated to not be able to go!

Massive congrats! Ive only been here a few days, after 15 months TTC, it feels amazing :)
xx

Congrats!! I'll also be traveling when I'm about 12-13 weeks, and I think it should be OK. I'm planning to bring some snacks and keep hydrated because it always gets so dry in an airplane. Enjoy your holiday!

Yes you'll be fine to travel at that stage - just take it easy, don't lift luggage, etc.

Congratulations and welcome to first tri!

Hi ladies,

Just been reading this with interest. I'm just 4 weeks....and basically have 7 trips abroad in the next 6 months and the furthest is Australia in Feb when I'll be entering my third trimester (all being well) and probably be around 31 weeks. I spoke to the doc about it and have read lots of stuff online and they ALL say that as long as you're not experiencing a complicated pregnancy and are healthy then it's fine but it's best to have a doc's note from week 28 in case the airline questions you. BA's policy is that you can travel up until 36 weeks.

xx
