I love handmade gifts. They are more personal and show you that someones put alot of time and thought into your gift.

I will be baking cupcakes to give as gifts to some people this year.

I am making jam, fudge, gingerbread men and christmas cakes for people for christmas this year and a patchwork cot blanket for my baby nephew.

I would love to do something like that! Thats a good idea... In little clear bags

I am not really making anything homemade as such but betterware had this little santa and snowmen sweetie pots and I bought a few for the kids so I am just gonna make little biscuits and put little sweets in them and give them that for xmas!

You can get lovely gift boxes for cupcakes and i have christmassy cake decorations left over from last year.
I'll give my christmas cake to someone as a present too or put it in the schools christmas fayre raffle.

mmm cakes sound yummy. im not very good at cake making lol xx

i have got a fair few friends who are due babies leaving upto christmas so i am now that i am making taggies going to make each of them one of those in the gender colour then last year i bought a personalised choc from pinksnowball with a pic of annabelle on them and all my family loved it, she has added a few new bits this year so gonna try some of those out for grand parents like a coaster and car sign etc! really cheap and have that personal touch!

I love homemade gifts.I made people homemade gifts last year for xmas.I made fudge, chocolate truffles, jam, personalized cards, and a whiker basket full of goodies.everyone loved that.xxx

I also thought if i can get good at my sewing skillls i might make my mom an apron xx

I think I'm going to make fudge or truffles and put them in clear bags with some fancy ribbon as part of people's presents:)

I'm thinking about making some jams and chutneys, some alcoholic cordials, winter spiced vodka, mini christmas puddings and mine pies.

i am not much talented so this is no option for me:(

I'm going to make biscuits in jars, sweeties in jars, painted flowerpots and teacup candles

Last year i made my grandparents a hamper with stuff like xmas cake fancy teabags, little jars of jam, posh biscuits, old style beer for the men and a mini bottle of bucks fizz/wine for the ladies etc my nana loved it and asked for another this year, i usually spend about £10-£15 per person for immediate family like parents etc whereas the hamper only cost £15 including the basket so to save money this year i'll be doing all the couple a hamper to share therefore cutting my spending by half. I'll make them personal to each couple my dad like old fashioned sweets so his will have them, my stepdad is diabetic so his and my mum's will have a mix of diabetic and non-diabetic stuff, my mil and fil like a drink so there's will have more alcohol than others, they will however all contain a pair of handmade xmas crackers made by the kids not me lol xx

We make christmas food hampers for our families, we have to make 3, they are all homemade, mainly Nigella and Delia recipes. We put everything in a basket with woodwool and make christmassy tags stating what everything is. This year we're making:
Sloe Gin
Chicken liver parfait
Chilli Jam
Red onion chutney
Christmas pudding bon bons
Christmas cake
Italian chocolate and nut cake
Pickled onions
Chocolate and pistachio fudge
Gruyere & parmesan allumettes (cheesy biscuits)
Feta in a herb, garlic and chilli oil
a whole salami - we're buying these from a german market
Brandy Butter

There is alot to do but we love doing it, we also make enough for us.

I had an idea when i was in the garden centre i'm going to buy loads of bulbs daffs tulip etc and plant them in some nice pots and by xmas they should just be starting to come up so i am giving a living spring display to my mum and it is going to cost less then £10 if i wanted to buy one ready made they cost £20+

Im making homemade presents.. well like homemade hampers.. with a twist :D

Ive sorted a candle one for my OH mum, its a few candles in a wicker baskets with all those stones in the bottom, (smelly candels) and i did one for my mum too.. and a bath stuff one aswel and wrapped them in 'celefane'?? and ribbon.. =] cheap and so pretty :D

I'm buying everything for my OH except one thing which I am dying to make.
A canvas with LO's hand and feet prints on it and written (by me) above, saying "I love you Daddy x" LO will be about 6 weeks come Christmastime so I'll need my mum to assist with the hand and foot painting and pressing onto the canvas, but I really really wanna do it. And I think he'll love it :D:happydance: xx
