The results aren't dramatic, but I think my levels are so high even with dilution. There is a noticeable difference from top test to bottom.

From top to bottom:
All urine
25%water
50%water
75%water
90%water

Percentages are estimations.

The moral of the story the hook effect is real, and I wouldn't test after your test line is as dark or darker than control line (in my experience around 5 weeks or 21dpo).

Wow this is really interesting! Thanks for posting it!

Yeah, I tested this out with my ICs too

Not sure this really counts as I’m still a bit early (5w2d) but my internet cheapies came today so I decided to experiment.

Top test is 100% urine
Middle is 75% urine and 25% water
bottom is 50% urine 50% water.

See any difference?

The bottom test looks darker to me

From left to right:
90%water/10%
50/50
100%urine

As you can see the more diluted the darker the test. This was done at 12 weeks.

Oh and hoping, yes hook effect is definitely real. I suggest to stop testing progression around 5 weeks.

Did you find out if its multiples? Or are your levels typically high

Just a singleton, I had even darker tests earlier this current pregnancy and again a singleton. I have girls and I've heard that girls hcg levels rise faster than boys.

This is interesting! I wondered if this was a real thing, turns out it is x
