I know it's frustrating near the end and everybody has had enough of cankles, heartburn, feeling bloated, breathlessness and soreness but surely I am not the only one who is hoping she goes overdue?
I mentioned it to MW and she said I'm the first to ever say it!

It's not that I can't wait to have baby and I'm not worried about labour.
We're not quite ready equipment wise (not packed bag yet either) but that's still not the issue for me.
I don't feel like it's happening anytime soon and I'm completely cool with that.
Am I mad?
Or just lucky I haven't had any bad side effects of pregnancy?

Me too actually, i'm not fussed. Definately might be to do with the fact i've had such an easy pregnancy so far! x

We're not ready at all and the nursery is still in progress. I don't mind a few days overdue and I'm fairly chilled about it really, but I'm just looking forward to having Hubby at home with me and not being stuck indoors on my own all the time, as well as not finding everything a mission and having all these horrible cramps and pains and backache!

I wouldn't say I'm 'hoping' to go overdue but I have resigned myself to the fact it will probably happen. This way I won't be bothered if I do or don't go overdue. ;)

Atm I'm sooo scared about being early as my OH has his pass out parade 10 days before due date and I don't wana miss it for anything so I'd happily be overdue if it means knowing I can go lol! However as and when his pass out has been i'll probs be begging the baby to come!! It's the not knowing that sucks, the fact there is pretty much a 4 week window a baby can be born in, I wish I had a date to aim for if u know what I mean?????

That's me exactly.
Given my family history (we are long gestaters), I would be shocked if this baby came anywhere near his due date! :)
I would like to skip an induction again, if possible, but I know what to expect with that, so I'm not particularly fussed by that either.
:coolio: :haha: That's me. Cool zen mama!
Talk to me closer to the time and I'm sure I'll be screaming for someone to get this baby out of me!!! :)

I went over due with DD#1 and was so impatient!! I wish i was as cool about it as you! all the best xx

Not that with you on that one lol

But I know tons of people who enjoy being pregnant.

I'm currently 41 weeks and have only just started to get anxious in the last 2-3 days as I'm hoping to have a home birth and the later I go the less likely that might happen...I was perfectly happy to go over as I had some issues with my hips and such 2 months ago but once that resolved I've been happy as a clam! My LO will arrive when she's ready and I'm perfectly happy with that :)

How far gone are u now hun??xxxxx

37weeks +3 days so could still have plenty of time.
I did think this one would be early but as time goes on I'm thinking not. Being at work has helped to occupy me - I felt such a fraud at the weekend as I moaned and groaned and had afternoon naps :) come back to work and I'm fine!
And this is the last one so I do want to cherish the pregnancy a bit more. Not cherishing the fact I can't load a washing machine without sounding like a porn star though lol.

Like StaceyP87 says it's annoying there is such a big window of when they can arrive. Wonder if they'll ever be able to pinpoint it more accurately?

I'm certainly not hoping to go overdue, but one reason I wouldn't mind it is that I went off work at 37 weeks and decided to take my holiday 20 days and then start my maternity leave. My work have said I need to start my SMP the day AFTER i have my baby, regardless of when he comes. So, if he comes today I've only used 8 days holiday and will have to take the rest in April before i come back... but if he holds on a bit longer, DH and I wont really have to worry about me being on the rubbish £125 per week til about September... because i will get my holiday days, then 6 weeks at 90% and then start the rubbish £125/week.

I know what you mean Lena.

I was hoping to get 2 weeks holiday and 6 weeks of 90% pay.

Seeing as I was supposed to finish last Friday I'm cutting it fine on the amount of holiday I will get. I will get another weeks pay but I didn't want to lose my holiday pay :-(

im the same. ive said from day one that i would go overdue so i havent been too disappointed.

I dont know about going overdue but I really really want to get to 38 weeks, my last two were induced at 35+6 then 37 weeks but this time that is going to coincide with moving which would be a bit of a pain. I have a consultant appointment where I know next week and I know they are starting to think of setting an induction date because of bp etc but Im really hoping they say I can wait a little longer this time. Not confident though!

my first baby went to 41 weeks (no induction) and that was mid summer - not too keen to repeat that experience lol my main memory is lying on the bed in my boiling hot flat with a fan watching "police camera action" for weeks on end lol!!

I'm overdue and I'm pulling my bloody hair out :haha:

Still, being induced tomorrow - feels like I've been pregnant forever!

I want to be as close to my due date as possible because hubby gets longer with her before he deploys to Afghanistan then! He will definately have 2 weeks, but if she is at the end of the 2 weeks over then that is all he will have... the closer to being on time she is the more time she will have with daddy!!

To be honest, I feel like she will be here on time... I have a feeling she'll be here by the 8th Sept and she's due on the 5th.. of course I could be totally wrong! But my mum was spot on time with all 4 of her kids and my sister had hers on her due date too....

I'm thinking that I'll go over, I've added the two weeks extra to my due date countdown so I don't get too disappointed later on lol

I felt that way....until 38 weeks when I stopped work. Since then I've been fussy and impatient. I always knew I was going to go overdue, but now that I am I'm pretty unhappy about it.
