Hormones raging and Mil

okay ladies am I being to hormonal or should I be offended? We were back there with my sister in laws enjoying my baby girls us pics a few weeks ago and I have it in a frame she comes in there and tells me she has my hubs and his ex wifes daughter / my stepdaughters us pic in a frame and she will give it to me that they have her...first of all she can keep it and her sona nd his ex wife got to enjoy it with their daughter now its my turn. Than last night she adds her on fb which her ex dil hates her and she said she hates her but why add her on fb thats like a slap in the face to me. I have been crying. It really hurt my feelings. Am I overreacting

Sorry, i think im misreading what you wrote. Did your MIL tell you that she will give you the u/s pic of your stepdaughter??? If so...that is very strange.
I can understand you being upset about her being friends with your husbands ex, but maybe she doesn't want to be in the middle of a rift or anything incase it makes it awkward for her with regards to seeing her granddaughter?

yes she told me she would give me his ex wife us pic so I can put in my step daughters room bec the new baby has hers in her room

Sorry hun, I think that's a nice thing to do?? It would make the baby seem less "preferred" in your step-daughter's head, and more as an equal member of the family

As for adding the ex on facebook, as she is connected to her forever through her grandaughter, I cant see its a massive no-no I dont like my MIL but I have to have her as a friend on fb to please my hubby (or more to avoid awkward questions from him)

I agree with this. It can be difficult for the step-kids when there is a new baby coming. This would probably be nice for her.

Edit: I do hope she made a big deal out of your baby's pic too!

I think that would be a good idea TBH so your step daughter doesnt feel different or less important than the new baby. Re. facebook, I wouldnt let it bother you. x
