I am just making a list of things to get to pack in my snack bag to take to the hospital.

I'd like to know what others are taking?

So far all I've got is a couple of lucozades. I will be packing some straws and definitely some cereal bars for afterwards if I'm on post natal ward at breakfast time - if you want to get brekkie then u have to leave baby & can't see me wanting to do that. Other than that I'll probably grab some packed sandwiches from somewhere on the day so we don't have to pay hospital prices, & some fruit. Probably a pack of jelly babies too lol

I've got lucozade bottles, water and jelly babies for energy at the moment.
Will also be throwing in some bananas and cereal bars.
I'm planning on having pasta before I check myself in to the MW unit if I can manage it as it will give me slow release energy. Been advised by MW to have it as a meal.

So far I've just got dried cranberries and hard candies packed. I'll also be packing some cereal bars.
I've told OH he'll need to get sandwiches packed, but if he doesn't do that in time then my Mom will be down so I'm sure she'll take care of it.

Oh, and I've got some powerade (seems to be the same as lucozade)

Found the graze boxes really good, looks of dried fruit, nuts and seeds and some variety. Not sure if you're in the UK though!

I took some dark chocolate, some cheesy biscuits and lots of fresh fruit and berries which I kept in a cool bag in the car. I was STARVING after I had her and a grated cheese salad was never going to cut it! OH ended up going to get me me noodles in the end!x

I love graze boxes!!

vodka!...haha just kidding. I wish though. I have yet to pack my bag =/ I know i still have time I actually just ordered a super cute cheetah print duffle bag online. I'm going to make sure i bring lots of comfy clothes and my own toiletries. just going to stock up on all the travel size stuff i can find!

I suggest something with a low glycemic index to keep your energy levels up and keep you full, and something else with a high glycemic index to give you a quick burst of energy when you need it ^.^

My LG snack are Granola/cereal bars and dates for my HG because I love dates :D and I read on here it helps dilation during labor :) .

Wishing you all the best!

I get weekly graze boxes too (they are amazing, and so so tasty as well as being healthy and nutritious!) - https://www.graze.com/uk/ - so I'm going to take my weeks worth with me, as well as some fruit.

I'm going to take a little of everything that I might fancy.... Just in case! :)

last time i packed lucozade for me and other energy drinks for hubby, cereal bars, sweeties and chocolate and bananas. i was also starving after i had give birth as had not eatten a proper meals since the days before dinner. but i was give a meal when i got to the ward after my toast and coffee and a sandwich later on in the evening. but i will be stopping if possible at a garage to pick up sandwiches for hubby

I finished packing my bag yesterday, but still need to add the snacks - so far all I've put in is a bottle of water! Don't judge me but there will be lots of chocolate in my stash - I have gestational diabetes, and am so looking forward to eating chocolate again without worrying about my blood sugar!

Other than that I will probably have things like nuts, cereal bars, maybe some fruit and some juice. I am expecting to have a c-section, so my snacks are for the few days afterwards, rather than for labour.

Thanks everyone!

I have made my list ready to go get it tomorrow.

I also bought this:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Baby-Polar...XDIG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1361540089&sr=8-1

This means I can use it to take drinks to the hospital and then use it later again for the baby bottles, food etc. Seems to have good reviews.

I have on my list:

Lucozade
Mini cokes (the 150ml mixer cans) When I am nauseous/sick Coke always makes me feel better!
Straws
Haribo
Glucose tablets
Cereal bars
Soreen malt snack loaves
Cheese and biscuit snack packs

I wasnt hungry at all during labour i didnt eat until after id given birth at 7pm ish. I wish id taken more to drink tho as i breathed through my contractions until 7cm as they didnt think i was in active labour and that dried out my mouth and when they finally checked me and said i was 7cm and better go round to a labour room they gave me gas and air and that really really dried out my mouth so i quickly ran out of drink and had to drink boring tasteless water!

Take a bag of crisps too. Hospital Always provide sandwiches ... They're gross but any sandwich can be transformed if you shove a load of crisps in it!

Ok this is going to sound horribly healthy but here goes...

Nak'd bars
Vegan protein bars I.e trek bars
Infused raisins
Lucozade (not original though *shudder*)
M&S freshly squeezed lemonade
Grapes
Cashews and other nuts
Dried apricots
Satsumas
Vegan flapjacks
Fizzy water
Coconut water

And if I can get hold of them at such short notice as they don't sell them around here:-

Vegan pasties/slices.

Xx
