Hi I wonder if anyone in the west midlands area could help me out......

I had 2 children at Solihull Maternity Hospital, however this has been turned into midwife led only Hospital now so been advised not to go there due to previous complications in delivery.... as would be blue lighted to Heartlands !

So its either Heartlands or The Womans??? can anyone advise of their experiences with these hospitals please???? really unsure what these places are like????

Thanks

Birmingham womens hospital is amazing. i didnt give birth there but had some problems during pregnancy and they were fantastic xx

I have heard the womens hospital is really good!
I'm booked it at city hospital though, they have a really good rep for their serenity suite which is midwife led but only a corridor between it and the ward with docs if any complications occur!

The womens is the best one in Birmingham I've heard, although city hospital is also quite good.

You can have a look around both I think as you can choose now where you'd like your baby to be born, so you could always have a nosey around a few and pick :)

I'd love to go to the womens, but I live in Redditch so it's the Alexandra for me... Yay...!! lol :(

I hope it's okay.. :( I've heard a couple of horror stories and a few good stories of people having births there, obviously the horror ones stick with me more!
Just seems every time I go its so grotty and the staff are so useless. My cousins due the same day as me and is having her baby and all appointments in the women's and she said that they're amazing to her. Jealous!!

I had all my babies in the heartlands, first was in labour for 21 hours I was asking for pain relief and all they gave me was two paracetomol, after 18 hours they finally gave me an epi. Second labour was ok, nothing remarkable and third I was only there 15 mins before I had him. Heartlands are ok but a conveyor belt kinda feeling. I'm having this baby at the women's so cant give u an opinion of them yet but heard they're great x x
