Just out of curiosity...how much housework and cleaning etc are you gals doing?

Wondering as I am so tired in the evening that I am falling asleep after dinner so the washing up isnt getting done the same night. Doesnt help that I dont get in until 7pm in the evening anyway, and am feeling like I am not doing enough

How is pregnancy affecting you day to day?!

I am getting *zero* housework done. Luckily I have a cleaning lady who comes in once every two weeks to give the house a good scrub, but it is hard keeping up with the day-to-day cleaning.

Thankfully, my husband has been a complete sweetheart and after I wake up from an episode of light-headedness I find out that he has done laundry or taken the dishes out of the dish washer.

I managed to sweep yesterday which was good progress since I cannot stand up for long periods of time... but the clutter is starting to build up!

I have been told that in the second trimester you usually get a surge of energy once the morning sickness disappears... I really hope that it happens for me because I have so much to do before the baby arrives!

I'm so glad it's not just me! I start feeling knackered by about 2.30 at the latest so by the time I get home from work i literally don't have the energy to do anything. I am just getting the energy to cook dinner but I just can't cope doing anything else.
Then at the weekend just pondering round a couple of shops for a few hours seems to do me in. Gosh I can't wait for second tri to hopefully feel a bit more normal.

WOOOHOOO I am glad it is not just me, I was beginning to think I was just being lazy. I am usually knackered at around 4pm, at work, then as soon as I have eaten I either fall asleep or just mong out. I dont particularly feel unwell, ie sick, but cant eat that much at one time, but the littlest of things are really tiring me out

well normally im an obsessive clean freak but just lately im really struggling to get everything done. im not at work because im home with my little one so do feel guilty that things are slipping a little. i have evn sent my ironing to my mother in laws ironing lady today:shhh: im 40 in a couple of weeks and im def finding this pregnancy more exhausting than my first. just hoping i get back to normal soon!!

Day-to-day i do zilch!!! :haha:

I just dont have the energy, if i really need something washed then i'll stick a wash on but thats about it lol x

I've taken a break from the voluntary work I do at a centre. Even that hasnt helped me to do any housework. i live with my in-laws so dont have to worry about the whole house, just our room, clothing and food. I manage to cook food and do the dishes but thats it most days! Its so tiring. *yawn* the room hasnt been
cleaned properly for nearly a month lol, managed to give it a lil spruce up today. The washing is the easiest chuck it in the machine, but ironing takes me a whole day to do and I cant even do anything else on the day the ironing is done. Sure hope my energy comes back, I feel like a slob!

Im usually too tired to do anything too. The dishes are always left to the next day and its awful, sometimes it builds up but im just too tired to do anything about it.

I am beginning to feel like a lazy slob lol.

I'm too tired. I've done little bits but nothing major. I'm leaving the major jobs to DH bless im got him well trained !! :)

I struggle when I get home at night. I am tired all the time so am only doing a little bit each evening.

At the moment I'm too tired to do anything. I empty the dishwasher and that's about it. I think DH is starting to think that I'm a right lazy "B". I keep telling him that I'm making the baby in my uterus and it's hard work (which it is as I'm tired all the time). That seems to do the trick. I don't think he quite realises what's going to hit him when the baby is born. He's enjoying quality chill out time each day. That'll soon change. It will be "daddy, daddy pick me up. Give me cuddle, play with me" It will be nice though.:D:baby::baby:

I am right there with you all! I don't get much done :( Horrible since I am a stay at home mom, so I feel like, "well I don't work, so this should all be getting done!!". But with having a 19 month old, and the exhaustion going on lately, it's hard!

The only thing I get done every day is the vacuuming of the floors, and that is only b/c we have wood floors and two dogs who track in dirt all day long, and it just feels so yucky to walk barefoot when the floors are dirty! But, the dishes wait overnight until the next morning and laundry is piling up and the bathrooms....ughhhh!! Now I feel like I need to go clean! LOL!

Me too. I usually leave the cleaning anyways until Saturday but half way through I get tired, then cranky. I might start a load of laundry during the week but then it sits in the dryer for days so the clothes are nice and wrinkley! I can barely mustard energy to cook dinner after work. So needless to say, we've eaten A LOT of take out the past two weeks! DH wants to help more but he's still recovering from a herniated disk. What a pair me make!

I try really hard but I don't get as much done as I need to:nope:
I'm a sahm with 3 kids 5,2,1 so pretty tired anyway lol, but got a 4 bed house to maintain and a puppy on top of that:wacko: Hubby works fulltime but will hoover when he gets home and he does the dishes from breakfast and tea, I do lunch dishes:thumbup:

He's taken on feeding the puppy too, it's food stinks:shrug: My son(2) does his own brand of watering the grass

I am normally a cleanaholic. I cannot relex unless the house is picked up. But now, I'm literally exhausted just taking clothes from upstairs up and down from the washer in the basement! I feel like such a lazy pig! It doesn't help that we are moving in a week, so I'm busy packing, and have to take a break every hour or so. DH has been SO good about it though, helping me with any housework I didn't get to. And to think, as this is our first baby, I don't have any other kids to take care of so I have way more time than you others moms... I think I need to go clean now ;)

My housework went downhill during first tri. Last couple of weeks have got a bit of energy back so things have returned a bit more to normal. Am planning on having a blitz big time though within the next couple if months before I don't feel like it again!

I'm pretty tired all the time. I'm not getting great sleep so I'm blaming it on that. It also doesn't help that I sleep a really odd schedule.

I haven't done much of anything either. Between being too tired or feeling nauseous, it is tough. Reading this makes me feel less worried about myself though. I keep telling myself and my husband---I swear I will get better about this once nesting sets in...and I know I will, but for now it is hard not to feel guilty. The house is a mess, and it hasn't ever been this bad, at least it seems like it...again, it could be my hormones making me feel worse! lol

I'm so lazy my washing up normally gets left 2 or 3 days on the kitchen counter, we always rinse the plate/cup/bowl then just leave it on the side

To be fair OH and I work shifts so can't be bothered cleaning after long days! I'm off tomorrow so I'll give the place a blitz. We're always on top of the laundry and hoovering because it only takes 2 mins to do that. It's just other bits get put off to our days off.

As long as our house is clean I don't see the problem with it being a little untidy
