Hi everyone, I'm 23 weeks and today I have been getting really uncomfortable lower back and tummy pain. I have been getting this quite a lot throughout my pregnancy but today it has been constant and slightly worse than normal. I haven't felt her move since last night but then due to my placenta I only really have been feeling her on and off and not every day.
I know no one will probably know the exact answer to this but I guess I wanted to know when it's a case of worrying and calling the midwife.
Like on a scale of 1 to 10 the pain is about a 4 if you class 10 as being severe, it's not really painful and I am certainly not crying out in pain.
Bit of a pointless post really, but I guess what I am saying is I don't want to keep ringing up the midwife for every little niggle I get. If anything was wrong related to the pain then I am sure it would be a lot more severe, wouldn't it?
Pregnancy symptoms are confusing!!!!

I get that sometimes and think it's braxton hicks. I would ask your midwife though - it is their job to reassure you after all :hugs:

Also after 20 weeks you can call up the labour ward 24/7 and ask a midwife there.

Thanks hun what does yours feel like cause I didn't think braxton hicks were supposed to be painful?

braxton hicks geneally feel like a tightening sort of painfrom my experience , i have had some in previous pregnancies that were painful tbh i remember one with DS1 i couldnt move i thought i would pass out

when do you next have a midwife appointment , i would mention it to her if you ae worried

My BH bloomin hurt! Take my breath away sometimes! Heaven knows how I will handle the real thing! They mostly come on for me if I walk a long way (well long for my preggo body rather than long compared to what I used to be able to do). If I keep walking they get tighter and mire painful - feels like my bump is being strangled! As soon as I sit and rest they ease off after a couple of minutes.
