i felt this weird sensation last night that i couldn't explain but it was kind of rhythmic, so i was assuming she had hiccups. but i really don't have a clue how people know their baby has the hiccups:shrug:

I've never felt Lucas have the hiccups so i wouldnt know :-/

I know what you mean.
A few nights ago i had a light kicking feeling but it was in time iykwim? So i looked through my baby book and it said baby hiccups happen in a beat. So i just gathered that was what i was feeling, but i didnt mention anything to OH just incase it wasnt. I didnt want to look stupid :flower:

Same here, I was tryna wake OH up to see if he could feel what I was feeling. I never get when people say "aww my baby has the hiccups" thought I was the only one lool

I always second guess myself. Even with kicks, i used to be like maybe thats just wind. :haha:

They feel like little movements or kicks but they have a rhythm to them like you do when you have hiccups. It's as if someone's popping bubbles in sequence IYKWIM?

ETA - They're not as strong as kicks, if you know whether your LO's head position and you feel them in that area it's probably hiccups!

At our scan he had the hiccups but I couldn't feel anything different, I guess it depends on how sensitive you are to movements :)
The woman asked me if I'd been sick before I came to the hospital as that's usually why it happens most of the time :haha:

I feel my butt vibrate lol.

But if you can see the baby move yet you will see your belly bouncing in a beat. Also if you put your hand where you feel it, it should lightly bounce with your belly.

I never felt her have hiccups before I actually started seeing her move though.

I woke up this morning to feeling my boy having hiccups for the first time. I could feel it from the inside and with my hand, it was like a pulseating feeling. I used to think how would you know but you just kind of do lol its strange

they feel kind of like a spasm/ heart beat but arent as regular as a heartbeat would be. My son gets them at LEAST twice a day

You know, you just know.
My LO used to have hiccups 3x a day!

I can tell when my little one has hiccups. :flower: Elias used to get them loads too!
