how do you pronounce caleb?

Kay-leb

I know a couple of people called Caleb and it's always pronounced like that. ( I think the ending is stronger than the ending of Jacob, hence the stronger actual 'leb' rather than a softened version.)

You can, of course, pronounce it how you like. It just depends on how bothered you'll be when people say Kay-leb.

Caleb is one of my favourite boys names but I say kay-leb.
I think how it is said might well have a lot more to do with accents rather than a "proper pronunciation" though. I am Scottish so saying kay-lub feels really weird in my mouth. I don't think it's that big of a difference in pronunciation either way so if you like it go for it. You just might have to correct people every once in a while.

I've had the same issue with my favourite girl's name, Lena. I pronounce it len-ah but a lot of people say lay-nah. If we choose to use it then we'll just correct people who say it wrong. Not a big deal!

Cay-leb! My son has a Caleb in his gymnastics class who pronounces it that way x

My son is caleb and I think I pronounce it Kay-lub. I don't know they seen pretty much the same in my accent. Anyway I LOVE his name. Good choice!

I pronounce it Kay-leb

Some ppl in my region even say Kay-lib

but I'm sure that is more related to the area and dialect, so I'm sure that makes a difference.
