Random question I know! Aidan got some Duplo sets for his birthday but I can't decide how to store them. All mixed up in the same box, (the thought of this brings me out in hives a bit!), in their own separate storage containers or original boxes?
How do you do yours?!

All mixed together in a big box. That way he can use his imagination and build whatever he wants to, without feeling restricted to keeping the sets seperate.

This was today's creation!! (and the box behind it is his Duplo storage box. Its an old Megabloks box. The megabloks have been packed away in a bag in the loft!)

Ahh we have that megablocks box too, that might be an idea to pack those away and replace with Duplo. Thanks for the tip!

For a long time we had ours in one big box, but it was so hard to find bits. Now we have it in four separate boxes, two for bricks, one for people, animals and vehicles and one for any other specialised bits. I stuck photos on the front of each box to help the children tidy up.

Thomas has had regular lego from about 23 months, at first it was all lumped together but it was hard to find stuff. Now it's in drawers, sorted by type. So technic beams in one drawers, people and animals in another, bricks in another etc.

He has a lot of lego, these drawers are about 4 feet tall!

Sophie has some duplo but it's just scattered through the main toy box as she's not interested yet, apart from whacking it together to make a loud noise.

In their original boxes, much cheaper & easier to store in wardrobe/ shelves. I dont like to mix the themed ones with the basic ones.

I sort a lot of his small world stuff that way, a tin for animals, a tin for people etc so that might be a good way to go to.

All mixed up in 2 big boxes so he can create whatever he wants rather than be restricted to the sets.

We just tip it all out if we need to find specific bits.

In with the rest of his toys as he's still more interested in just throwing it around and putting the bricks down his garage slide.

I mix it together, we have 2 big boxes which contain 3 or 4 sets. Don't have much in the way of themed sets but hoping Santa will sort that out!

Seperatly in these

Ours is altogether in a big box. The girls play with it every day

All mixed together in the same box. I don't really like all the little sets though I've just got a massive set of plain bricks from Ebay.

One box for bricks, one for people, cars, animals etc and one for any other bits and pieces.

We got one of the basic brick boxes and that comes in a big tub with extra room so all los other sets are mixed in
