How early did you have a 3d scan?

Hi ladies,

Really interested in this, and wanted to book one in the next few weeks so ill be about 18/19 weeks.

Is this too early?

Thinking it would be nice as ive seen her on 2d moving around like a little nutter and id love to see her better

At this time surely she has more room to move? You think they would do this?

Also anyone in south east/essex recommend anywhere? xx

I'm having one on Friday to find out the gender. I think most places only do them from 28 weeks and beyond, so baby has some chub on them. The only reason that theyre doing mine early is because we bought a package, so we'll be going for the gender, and then going back around 30 weeks.

I would call around though. All places are different and they're probably more worried about making money-LOl.

yeah, i thought that lol, the money surely would be incentive enough haha.

Theres one near me that does private scanning and a 3d preview from 8 weeks onwards so you get a sneak peek..

Ive seen such high quality pics from the specialists in London & have another scan (2d) with the specialists on friday to check her progress, but i want to see her beautiful face xxxx

She will look just the same as she will when she's born.... but REALLY skinny lol.

I can't wait for my ultrasound on Friday, but I can't wait to go when my baby has some chubby legs and cheeks!!

See if they have packages... like if you go twice they take money off or however different places do it. Might be able to get a good deal.

I'm having mine about 29 weeks. I have seen a few from before 20 weeks and I dot like the look of the little faces. Some of them look like gargoyles as they have no fat on them at all! That's why I'm waiting a little longer. X x x

My doctor said 28 weeks and beyond is the best time, so 27 weeks is pretty close. You should get some nice pictures.

yehh i jus googled "4d scan at 27 weeks" and the picx are lovely cant wait only got another 3 weeks to go

i had a gender scan done at 17 weeks and they did a free 4d scan which was really good baby just wasnt as chubby as she would be now! the scan pic is my profile picture<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<

I just had mine at 21 weeks and 5 days...The place didnt recommend we go any earlier as the baby is very skeletal looking. They just start to get all there 'meat' starting from now on....we are doing a package they have where you pay for 2 and then get 3rd scan free....that is why I did so early. But if I only was doing one 4d scan, I would have waited until the recommended 26-32 weeks when baby has more chub....Check my posts..I just posted some pics of 21 weeks and 5 days if you would like a rough idea of what they lokl ike around that time!
Well worth the money though! It is worth every penny you spend!!
